TBCMultivitamins – Micronutrient Inadequacies: Implications for NCDs, Ageing, and Responsible SupplementationMultivitamins are nutritional supplements added to a diet to provide nutrients that may otherwise not be consumed in sufficient quantities, in order to complete dietary needs or to make up for a nutrition deficiency.

Dietary guidelines are intended to assist individuals with meeting nutritional requirements deemed necessary for optimal health and disease prevention. Because of regional variations in nutritional health status and differences in local public health needs, there is not a unified global dietary guidelines. Various organizations around the world issue region- or country-specific food-based dietary guidelines that take into account local food preferences and availability plus specific nutritional needs of the local population.
